Noorai recognized

Mari R. Noorai, Regent of Andrew Pickens Chapter of Clemson, was recently recognized as a Benefactor of the President General’s Project during the 124th Continental Congress. Noorai is a fifth-generation member of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), and her great-great grandmother, Martha Elizabeth Bowen Nimmons of Pickens, was a charter member of the Wizard of Tamassee Chapter DAR in 1916. The donation was made in memory of Nora Deniza Nimmons Field, Noorai’s great-grandmother, and the memorial appears on a plaque at DAR Headquarters. Noorai is a 12-year member of DAR.
