PICKENS — The Pickens Police Department is proud of its newest officer. The officer will have many responsibilities when her training is complete.

But she doesn’t have a uniform or a gun. She has a collar and an incredibly powerful nose, and she goes by the name Zenia.

The 16-month-old Belgian Malinois is trained in tracking and drug detection, and the Pickens Police Department is proud to have her, as are many civic organizations and groups in the Pickens
