Harried’s 243 yards lift Easley to region victory at JL Mann

GREENVILLE — It wasn’t pretty, but all that mattered Friday night for the Easley Green Wave is that they got a region win against J.L. Mann, 21-13.

Senior tailback Jeremy Harried rushed for 243 yards on 23 carries and scored two touchdowns. He also had another 64-yard touchdown nullified due to penalty.

Speaking of penalties, the officials probably had to ice their arms down after the game, as 24 penalties were accepted during the game, not counting several flags that were called but refused.

“That (game) had a little bit of everything,” Easley coach John Windham said. “It was crazy. We got the lead and they came back and scored. Then we got the lead again. The last drive, we had three big runs that were called back for holding. We had been running the same play, but all of a sudden they called us for holding. Those were tough calls.
