BR Fest raises record amount for local charities

PICKENS — Blue Ridge Electric Cooperative officials announced last week that the 20th annual Blue Ridge Fest, held on April 28, raised a record-breaking amount of $215,000 to benefit local nonprofit organizations in Greenville, Anderson, Oconee and Pickens counties.

Since the event’s inception, Blue Ridge Fest will have given more than $2.5 million to local human help organizations that provide individuals with basic necessities such as food, shelter, clothing and health care.
