Donna Holliday

Liberty — Donna Marie Long Holliday, 60, of 501 Old Norris Road, died Saturday, Dec. 17, 2016, at her residence.

Born in Hartwell, Ga., she was the wife of Randy Michael Holliday of the home and the daughter of the late “Shorty” and Frankie Diver Long. She was a Christian and a hard worker and never missed a day of work at TTI in Anderson. She loved going to yard sales and riding her motorcycle, but more especially, she loved helping others.

Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons, John Paul Long and Don “Junior” Price; and a granddaughter, Yancy Price.

Lisa Bridges

Liberty — Lisa Michelle Bridges, 50, of 403 Odell Drive, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 17, 2016, at her home.

Born in Seneca, she was a daughter of the late Dennis Crowe and Betty Sims Trotman.

She loved camping and spending time with her family.

Surviving are her husband, Chris S. Bridges of the home; a daughter, Jessie Duncan (Jeremy) of Starr; two sons, D.J. Clark (Wade) of Los Angeles, Calif., and Ethan Cole Bridges of the home; a sister, Denise Crowe of Seneca; two brothers, Joe Crowe of Greenville and Clint Crowe of Toccoa, Ga.; three grandchildren, Jacob, Luke and Charlie Duncan; a sister-in-law, Cathie Davis (Lee) of Anderson; and a brother-in-law, Dennis Bridges (Tracy) of Greer.

Memorial services to honor Mrs. Bridges’ life will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21, in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. No visitation is planned.

Brenda S. Brown

Easley — Brenda Sheriff Brown, 74, of Thomas Mill Road, passed away Monday, Dec. 12, 2016, at her home.

Born in Pickens County, she was the daughter of the late Rosemond and Mae Day Sheriff.

Mrs. Brown was retired from Crosswell Elementary School as a lunch room associate. She was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. Her hobbies included collecting panda bears and making jewelry.

Surviving are her husband, James Roy Brown of the home; two daughters, Melinda Gail Owens (Robert) of Alamosa, Colo., and Jammie Brown Bonham of Easley; two grandchildren, Adrianne Looper and Corey Bonham; three step-grandchildren, Taylor, Amber and Summer Owens; four great-grandchildren; and a brother, Bob Sheriff of Easley.

Funeral services were held Dec. 14 at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, with burial following in the church cemetery.

Donald Clark

Easley — Donald Clark, 70, passed on Wednesday Dec. 14, 2016, surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Clark was born in Marion, Ill., and a son of the late Claude Jackson Clark and Bessie Pearl Clark.

Mr. Clark was retired from the Department of Transportation as an engineer. He also loved bowling and proudly served in the U.S. Marines.

Survivors include one son, Michael Clark, and his fiancée, Samantha Amos, of Savannah, Ga.; one daughter, Angela Kelly (Dana) of Pickens; and a grandson, Justin Kelly of Pickens. Also surviving is Janice Clark, mother of Michael and Angela, and Sherrel Bullock, longtime companion and fiancée. Mr. Clark also leaves to share in his memory many cousins, aunts and uncles.

Graveside services were held Dec. 18 at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Gardens.

Bobbie Watson Walker

Easley — Mrs. Bobbie Jean Watson Walker, 80, wife of the late Charles F. Walker, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, Dec. 15, 2016, at her home.

She was born in Anderson County, a daughter of the late A.Z. and Inez Smith Watson.

Bobbie was the retired owner of Bobbie’s Beauty Nook. She was a Christian and member of Corinth Baptist Church and attended First Pentecostal Church in Easley. Bobbie loved to bake. She personally delivered her cakes and pies to several funeral homes that would call her for their hairdressing needs.

Surviving are two nieces, Pamela Lee Waldrop and Donna Lynn Farr (Danny), all of Easley.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Walker was predeceased by a sister, Evelyn Watson Waldrop, and her brother-in-law, Ray Waldrop.

Funeral services were held Dec. 18 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, with burial following in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Frances H. Turner

Easley — Frances Hunter Turner, 91, of Willow Place, wife of the late Thomas Jack Turner, passed away Saturday, Dec. 17, 2016.

Born in Pickens County, she was a daughter of the late Rev. Fred Garvin Hunter and Mattie Powell Hunter.

Mrs. Turner was retired from Southern Brick in Ninety Six and was a member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her brother, Garvin Hunter (Carol) of Easley; a niece, Beverly Carter of Grove City, Pa.; and nephews, Hunter Henderson, Stokes Hunter (Shelia) and Arden Welborn (Terry), all of Easley.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Jacqueline Henderson, Benice Holder and Avenell Welborn; a brother, Roy Hunter; and a niece, Karen Henderson.

Funeral services were held Dec. 19 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. A private burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Dwayne Crowe

Pickens ­— Dwayne Stephen Crowe, 46, passed from this life suddenly on Thursday, Dec. 15, 2016.

Dwayne was born in Easley, son of Derolyn Holliday Crowe and the late Stephen Arthur Crowe. He was a 1988 graduate of Pickens High School and was employed with Sulzer Pumps in Easley. Dwayne was a member of 5 Point Church in Easley and was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and a member of GPAA, Gold Prospecting Association of America. He loved being outdoors prospecting for gold in the streams, collecting Chevelles and spending time with his family and his two ferocious Chihuahuas.

Survivors include his mother Derolyn Holliday Crowe of Pickens, his son Tyler Harold Crowe and stepdaughter Tristin Childress, both of Pickens, and sisters Cindy Dickard (Jeff) and Kristie Witt (Jason) and brother Jay Crowe, all of Easley.

Funeral services were held Dec. 19 in the Dillard Funeral Home chapel, with burial following at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Gardens.

Essie M. Jones

Pickens — Essie Mae Patterson Jones, 90, widow of Wayne Arthur Jones, passed from this life on Friday, Dec. 16, 2016, at Manna Health and Rehab in Pickens.

Mrs. Jones was born in Pickens, a daughter of the late Henry and Sally Hannah Patterson. She was a homemaker and was known for her cooking and canning expertise, which she shared with her family and friends. Mrs. Jones was a member of Secona Baptist Church.

Survivors include her sons, Ron Jones (Vickie) of Pickens and Henry Jones (Beth Waldrep) of Georgetown; granddaughter, the Rev. Courtney Mills Jones Willis (Stephen) of Greensboro, N.C.; and great-grandson, Berkley Stephen Willis.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her daughter, Pat Jones, one sister and six brothers.

Funeral services were held Dec. 18 in the Dillard Funeral Home chapel, with her granddaughter, the Rev. Courtney Mills Jones Willis officiating, and burial following at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Gardens.

Willie Jackson “Jack” McNeely

Easley — Willie Jackson “Jack” McNeely, 88, of Easley, husband to Frances Jeanette Anderson McNeely, passed peacefully surrounded by his family Saturday, Dec. 17, 2016, at his residence.

He was born in Greenville County to the late Willie Stephen and Frances Mildred Young McNeely.

Jack was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Easley for 30 years, where he served his church in many capacities. He was a member of the Koinonia Sunday School Class. Jack owned his own business, McNeely Radiator Repair, for many years before retiring. He enjoyed fishing, boating and traveling. Jack adored his family. He genuinely loved and cared for his family, always teaching his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren the value of faith in God, family and hard work.

In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his son, Brian Jackson McNeely, sister, Peggy Ann McNeely Findley, and brothers, Louis Thomas McNeely and James Stephen McNeely.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 71 years; children, Beth McNeely Bray (Tom) of Easley, Steve McNeely (Judy) of Easley, and Jami McNeely Crisman of Duncan; brother, Ronald Dale McNeely (Carol) of Easley; daughter-in-law, Debra “Debbie” Hill McNeely; sister-in-law, June McNeely; grandchildren, Jon Bray (Alicia) and children, Avery, Chloe and Sawyer, Whitney Bray Nash (Judd) and children, Bray and Jackson, Ellis McNeely (Bobbi Jo), Joe McNeely, Abby McNeely, Torry Crisman, Matthew Crisman, Annie McNeely, Drew Brittain (McKenzie), Crystal Garrett Thornburg (Brian) and children, Brody and Bailey, and Tyler Garrett; special friend, Beverly McElrath.

Funeral services were held Dec. 19 at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, Easley, with Rev. Paul Turner officiating and burial following in the church cemetery.

Flowers will be accepted, and memorials may be made directly to Mt. Carmel Baptist Church to honor the memory of Jack.

Walter Jerome “Kibbo” Harbut

Easley — Walter Jerome “Kibbo” Harbut, 78, of Schaumburg, Ill., and Easley died Dec. 15, 2016.

Born July 14, 1938, in Chicago, Ill., to the late Walter and Estelle Zochowski Harbut.

Walt was married for 38 years to his loving wife Annarlene A. DiCianni. He graduated from Weber High School in 1956. He had a professional career that allowed him to travel internationally for many years. This led to his starting his own successful company in export sales.

Walt is survived by his daughters, Katherine Nikolaus (Lawrence) and Deborah Kingsbury (Sherwood); and blessed with four grandchildren, Joel, Lauren, Kevin, and Annarlene Nikolaus; brother, Alan Harbut (Mary); and several loving cousins.

A memorial service will be held at the Foothills Retirement Community Chapel at 205 Bud Nalley Drive, Easley, at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 28, with a reception following the service. There will be an additional service and burial at a later date in Schaumburg, Ill.

Mary J. Fromm

EasleY — Mary J. Fromm, 67, of Easley, passed unexpectedly Saturday, Dec. 10, 2016, at her residence.

She was born in Englewood, N.J., to William Crawford Flewellen Jr. and the late Tommie Sue Kendrick Flewellen.

Mary was a Christian and loved her Lord and Savior. She was baptized as a young girl in Mississippi. Mary was meticulous about her appearance. She was kind to all and adored her family. Mary was a Professor at Berry College in Rome, Ga., before retiring. She enjoyed crocheting, reading and teaching.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Jeanette Jewsbury (Stephen); sister, Susan Heard; grandchildren, Brayden Jewsbury and Cory Brice; and nephews, Richard Heard, John Heard, and William Heard.

Memorial services were held Dec. 16 at George’s Creek Baptist Church, Easley, with Pastor Chris Walker officiating.
