Lydia Lee T. Kelley

EASLEY — Mrs. Lydia Lee Toledo Kelley, 78, wife of Wilton James Kelley Sr., passed away Monday, March 26, 2018.

Born in Hilo, Hawaii, the daughter of the late Freddrick Toledo, Mrs. Kelley retired from the Glenwood Division of Mayfair Mills with 22 years of service and later retired from Walmart. She was a member of Jones Avenue Baptist Church.

Surviving, in addition to her husband of 58 years, are her six children, Jennifer Kelley Manley of Seneca, Wilton Kelly Jr. of Easley, Fred Kelley of Easley, Mike Kelley of Easley, Joe Kelley (Stacey) of Travelers Rest and Tina Kelley Whitlock (Dolan) of Six Mile; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. In addition to her father, Mrs. Kelley was predeceased by a son, Timothy Kelley and a granddaughter, Neisa Cherie White.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Thursday, March 29, in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial will follow in Heritage Memorial Gardens, Westminster.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.

Michael Bowser

PICKENS — Michael John Bowser, 39, of Pickens, passed away in late June 2017. Born in St. Paul, Minn., he was a son of Deborah Bowser and John Carl Tuma.

Surviving in addition to his mother of Pickens and his father of Columbus, Ohio, are a sister, Rebecca Bowser of Easley; a brother, Christopher Bowser (Jesse) of Liberty; three nieces and nephews, Danielle, Stanley and Lance; half-siblings, Cory Tuma Fulmer of Marysville, Ohio and James Tuma of Columbus, Ohio.

Also surviving are several aunts and uncles and numerous cousins.

He was predeceased by his grandparents, Mel and Mary Bowser; two aunts, Catherine Guggenberger and Mary Ann Bowser; and an uncle, Montel Pierce.

Memorial mass to celebrate the life of Michael Bowser will be 12:15 p.m. Friday, April 6, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Pickens. The family will receive friends prior to the Mass from 10-11:30 a.m. at Liberty Mortuary.

Iva Lee Porter

LIBERTY — Iva Lee Porter, 96, widow of Henry S. Porter, passed away on Monday, March 19, 2018, at Rainey Hospice House in Anderson.

She was born on Dec. 30, 1921, in Travelers Rest, to the late Herman Shelton and Lillie Mae McCauley Shelton.

She was a member of Enon Baptist Church of Liberty and a member of the TEL Sunday school class and the WMU.

Mrs. Porter leaves many nieces and nephews to share in her memory.

Services were held March 21 at Dillard Funeral Home.

Mildred Mahaffey Roach

LIBERTY — Mrs. Mildred Mahaffey Roach, 88, wife of the late Calvin Watson Roach, passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2018, at her home.

Born in Pickens County, a daughter of the late John and Ethel Pauline Haynes Mahaffey, Mrs. Roach retired from the Arial Plant of Alice Manufacturing with 45 years of service and was a member of Liberty Church of God.

Surviving are a son, Randy Roach (Sherill) of Liberty; a daughter, Dianne DesRocher of Liberty; two sisters, Doris Lee of Smyrna, Ga., and Martha Ann Wright of Senobia, Miss.; seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Roach was predeceased by a brother, Dallas Mahaffey.

Services were held March 23 at Easley Church of God. Private burial followed at Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Mary Ann B. Chambers

LIBERTY — Mrs. Mary Ann Brooks Chambers, 74, wife of the late Clarence Harlin Chambers Jr., passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2018.

Born in Greenville County, a daughter of the late Joseph and Sally Ann Miles Brooks, Mrs. Chambers retired from Focus Golf and was a member of Brandon Baptist Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Ann Margaret Bunch of Easley and Sandra Lynn Spangler (Robert) of Honea Path; a brother, Herman Brooks of New York; a sister, Sybil Brooks Melton of Easley; four grandchildren, Charmaine Pool, Nicholas Bunch, Jeremy Bunch and Carl Holliday Jr.; and a great-grandson, Benjamin Pool. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Chambers was predeceased by numerous brothers and sisters.

Funeral services were held March 24 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, with Rev. Dr. Roger Couch officiating, with burial following at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Gardens in Pickens.

Margaret Woolridge Edens

EASLEY — Margaret Woolridge Edens, 69, of Easley, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2018, at her home.

Born in Miami, Fla., she was the daughter of the late Luther Winfield Wooldridge and Mary Elizabeth Wooldridge.

Margaret worked for Ryobi for many years and was deeply loved by her family and friends.

Survivors include one daughter, Mary Moser Kuenzel and her husband, Mark, of Commerce Township, Mich.; one son, Calvin James Edens Jr.; grandsons, Calvin James (C.J.) Edens III, Kyle Bradley Kuenzel and Paul Alan; two granddaughters, Olivia Sky Edens and Christina Ann Towe of Easley; and two great-grandchildren, Kali Ann Vaughn and Ruby June Wood. Mrs. Edens also leaves two special people, Linda Simpson and Chrystal Towe, to share in her memory.

Services were held March 26 in the Dillard Funeral Home chapel, with burial following at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Gardens.

Brenda Joyce Kelley

EASLEY — Brenda Joyce Kelley, 73, passed away Saturday March 24, 2018, in Easley.

Mrs. Kelley was the wife of Doyle Kelley and daughter of the late Lloyd B. Chapman and Ina Mae Chapman.

Mrs. Chapman was a nursing assistant at Baptist Easley and Cannon Memorial Hospital.

Survivors include her husband, Doyle, of 56 years and two daughters, Sonya Gould and her husband, Tommy, of Anderson, and Julie Cox and her husband, Chris, of Greenville; four granddaughters, Bethany Cox and Victoria Cox, both of Greenville, and Amelia Gould and Lydia Gould, both of Anderson; one brother, Tim Chapman and his wife, Bobbie, of Pickens; a sister, Lisa McCombs and her husband, Johnny, of Taylors; and a sister-in-law, Rita Chapman of Nichols. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Kelley was predeceased by a brother, Rev. James (Mac) Chapman.

Visitation was held Tuesday, March 27, at Dillard Funeral Home, with service following in the funeral home chapel and burial at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Pickens.

Vicki T. Mason

LIBERTY — Vicki Turner Mason, 67, of Liberty, wife of the late Stanley Bruce Mason, passed away Sunday, March 25, 2018, at the Rainey Hospice House in Anderson.

Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of Daphna Marchbanks Turner of Easley and the late Raymond Turner.

Vicki was formerly employed with Glasby Insurance in Easley. She enjoyed bird watching and gardening.

Surviving, in addition to her mother, are a daughter, Mary Amanda Mason of Liberty; and a brother, Ray Turner of Easley.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 28, at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Easley.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Rainey Hospice House, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.

The family members will be at their respective homes.

Brenda Harrison

LIBERTY — Brenda Ann Carpenter Harrison, 70, of 659 Golden Creek Road, died Saturday, March 24, 2018, at Magnolia Manor in Greenville.

Born in Greenville, she was the widow of Virgil Lee Harrison Sr. and a daughter of Margaret Holliday Carpenter of Ackworth, Ga., and the late Harley Carpenter. She was retired from Walmart and enjoyed baking, gardening and taking her grandchildren fishing. She was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving, in addition to her mother, are four sons, Gene Harrison (Starsha) of Pickens, Dean Harrison (Heather) of Easley, Steve Harrison (Deana) of Liberty and Virgil Harrison Jr. of Easley; three sisters, Sylvia Lutz of Ackworth, Ga., Bonnie Paul of Monticello, Ga., and Gale Adamson of Blairsville, Ga.; a brother, Gary Carpenter of Ackworth, Ga.; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A memorial service for Mrs. Harrison will be held at 6 p.m., Thursday, March 29, in the Liberty Mortuary chapel.
