Joseph Wellborn

Travelers Rest — Joseph Paul Lee Wellborn, 28, fiancé of Kenzi Jaquith, passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2017.

Mr. Wellborn is the son of Lavonna Mosley (Scott) of Pickens and Joey Wellborn of Spindale, N.C.

Survivors include his grandparents, Joyce Owens, Debbie Moore, Gary Wellborn and Earl Mosley (Pam); his three children, Noah Wellborn, Aaliyah Wellborn and Klutch Wellborn, all of the home; siblings, Tyler Wellborn (Rachel) of Rutherfordton, N.C., Dylan Baynard of Pickens, Kelli Wellborn of Pickens, Lavenia Mosley of Pickens, Donna Mosley of Pickens, Bella Mosley of Pickens and Leigh Mosley of Pickens; and nieces and nephews, Zaylee Wellborn, Zach Branch and Zander Branch.

Joseph was loved by many more family members and friends. He had a passion for fishing and the outdoors, and he loved anything that had a motor.

Joseph was predeceased by Bill Ormand and Shane Baynord.

A graveside service was held July 1 at Cross Roads Baptist Church cemetery.

Earnest Paul Crumpton

Liberty — Earnest Paul Crumpton, 62, went to be with the Lord Monday, June 26, 2017, at Cannon Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Crumpton was born in Macon, Ga., son of the late Laura Belle Cannon Crumpton and Furman Crumpton. He had a passion for driving big rigs. Survivors include one daughter, Paula Childress (Bradley) of Easley; one son, Paul Crumpton of Pickens; three brothers, Furman Crumpton of Greenville, Donnie Crumpton of Easley and Eddie Crumpton of Westminster; and three grandchildren, Devon Childress, Joseph Childress and Alex Childress, all of Easley.

Mr. Crumpton was predeceased by his parents and one sister, Juanita Duncan.

A visitation and a graveside service was held on July 3 at Fellowship Church Cemetery.

Janice Palmer Taylor

Easley — Mrs. Janice Palmer Taylor, 65, loving wife of Terry Vasco Taylor, went to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, June 28, 2017.

Born in Greenville County, a daughter of the late Thomas Andrew Palmer Sr. and the late Minnie Belle Parkman Palmer, Mrs. Taylor was a graduate of Winthrop College, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in education and was a social studies teacher at Pickens High School, where she retired with 40 years of service. She was a member of the Mill Church in Pickens, where she was an active volunteer. Janice loved spending her time with her family, church family and volunteering her time at the Dream Center.

Surviving, in addition to her husband of 39 years, are a daughter, Joni Taylor Howard (Jonathan) of Easley; a brother, Tom A. Palmer Jr. of Parchman, Miss.; two sisters, June Marie Palmer of Easley and Kathy Palmer Wilsie of Jacksonville, Fla.; and two grandchildren, Jack T. Howard and Ella Katherine Howard. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Taylor was predeceased by a sister, Donna Jeanne Matthews.

Memorial services were held July 2 at the Mill Church, with Pastor Bryan Holder officiating.

Patricia Ann Whitmire

Pickens — Patricia Ann Wilson Whitmire, 77, wife of Roy Randolph Whitmire passed from this life on Wednesday, June 28, 2017, at her home.

Patricia was born in Anderson County, a daughter of the late Guy and Addie Finley Wilson. She was a homemaker and a member of Roanoke Baptist Church.

Survivors also include her daughter, Joyce Smith of Pickens; a sister, Faye Crowe (Malcolm) of Pickens; and a brother, Ray Wilson (Vallie) of Easley.

Funeral services were held at the Dillard Funeral Home chapel. Burial followed at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Gardens.
