Liberty Lions provide for blind campers

Recently, Liberty Lion Michael Goldston and Jean Thomas, president of the Liberty Lions Club, presented special athletic equipment to Jennifer Bazar, director of the free week-long camp for South Carolina blind children held annually in June at the Rocky Bottom Retreat and Conference Center, a nonprofit 30-acre camping facility owned and operated by the blind of South Carolina in northern Pickens County in Sunset. Pictured, from left, are Goldston, Bazar and her seeing-eye dog, and Thomas. The special athletic equipment allows the visually impaired and blind campers to participate in activities such as soccer, football, basketball and playing with frisbees.
