COUNTY — With the calendar set to roll over into December on Friday, municipalities across Pickens County are preparing to celebrate the Christmas holiday with parades and other events over the next several weeks.

After Six Mile hosts its annual Old Fashioned Christmas celebration on Thursday evening, Central will host the county’s first parade of the year on Friday night.
