Man charged with stealing bread truck

SIX MILE — Police say a Six Mile man stole a bread truck and gave away some of its contents on Thursday.

Kyle Daniel Moon, 27, was arrested Thursday night and charged with grand larceny. He was still being held at the Pickens County Detention Center on a $15,000 surety bond at press time Tuesday.

Deputies responded Thursday morning to a report of a truck being stolen from the parking lot of the Dollar General store located at 2308 Liberty Highway in Six Mile, according to a Pickens County Sheriff’s Office news release.

Witnesses said a man had walked up to the store and was seen driving away in the vehicle at a high rate of speed, the release said.

The stolen 2013 Isuzu box truck was valued at approximately $45,000,
