Local firefighters, residents and dignitaries turned out for a memorial dedication in honor of community firefighters past and present at the Pickens Fire Department on Saturday morning. The celebration began with a flag raising, and a memorial honoring firefighters who have served for more than 20 years was unveiled. Former Pickens County sheriff David Stone and former Pickens City Council member Tommy Stephens, right, were among the many who were honored.
