Mari Rosalie Noorai, Regent of the Andrew Pickens DAR Chapter of Clemson, was named the 2017 National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) Outstanding Junior National Runner-Up at the 126th Continental Congress in Washington, D.C. NSDAR President General Ann Turner Dillon presented Noorai with the National Runner-Up pin. Noorai, a fifth generation South Carolina DAR member, serves as the South Carolina State Recording Secretary and the NSDAR National Vice Chair Junior American Citizens Committee for Publicity. Noorai’s great-great grandmother, Martha Elizabeth Bowen Nimmons, was a charter member of the Wizard of Tamassee Chapter in 1916.
