Parenting Place to benefit from Whole Foods’ 5 percent day

EASLEY — The Parenting Place has been selected by local Whole Foods Market as recipient of 5 percent day on Tuesday, Dec. 10.

The Parenting Place was established as a private, non-profit agency in 1991. Since then the agency has been working to prevent all forms of child abuse and neglect in the upstate of South Carolina by providing services and supports to parents and children.

The Parenting Place has been selected by Whole Foods Market in Greenville as the beneficiary of its 5 Percent Day.

Four times a year, Whole Foods of Greenville donates 5 percent of the day’s net sales to a selected local charity, and on Tuesday, Dec. 10, The Parenting Place will be the featured non-profit organization. The Parenting Place will staff an information table inside the store from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m.

The Parenting Place will allocate funds received from the 5 Percent Day to help achieve the agency’s goals of protecting Upstate children by educating parents and connecting them to all needed resources.

Whole Foods Market is located at 1140 Woodruff Road in Greenville. For more information about The Parenting Place or the 5 Percent Day at Whole Foods Market, call (864) 898-5583, or visit www.theparentingplacepca.org.
