CENTRAL — The Daniel High School football program sent its latest player to the collegiate ranks last week as Bryson Smith signed with Charleston Southern University as a preferred walk-on.

Smith, a star wideout the past two seasons for the Lions, fielded a number of offers before coming down to Charleston Southern and Palmetto Prep.
