PICKENS — The city of Pickens has received a grant of nearly half a million dollars to help revitalize a neighborhood near downtown.

According to a news release, the South Carolina Community Development Block Grant Program has selected Pickens to receive an award of $475,230 to help rejuvenate the South Pickens
