Video of incident shared on social media

LIBERTY — The Pickens County Sheriff’s Office arrested a veterinarian last week after a video clip posted on social media allegedly showed him striking a dog in a wire kennel.

Robert James McKee, 64, of Liberty, was charged with ill treatment of animals after he voluntarily turned himself in to the sheriff’s office. McKee was arraigned before a Pickens County magistrate and released on a $3,000 personal recognizance bond.
