PICKENS — Pickens County Council members recognized the Daniel High School girls’ cross-country and girls’ golf teams for winning Class 4A state championships at a meeting earlier this month.

The recognition came during council’s Dec. 3 meeting.

Council chairman Roy Costner read a resolution recognizing each team at the meeting.

“This is really cool stuff,” Costner said.
