PICKENS — Friday is the first day high school football teams across the state of South Carolina can begin practice for the 2017 season, and new Pickens coach Chad Smith’s Blue Flame are going to get started as quickly as they can.

As in, the first minute possible.

The Blue Flame will kick off their first practice of the season at 12:01 a.m.
