Grace United Methodist Church dedicated its new playground on Sunday. The playground is dedicated to children of the church as well as children in our community. The beautifully landscaped area which begins at the playground and continues alongside the church parking lot all the way to Lewis Street was dedicated at the same time. The playground was expanded, some unsightly structures were removed, and attractive playground equipment was installed. A deck and picnic tables were built next to the playground. A talented master gardener church member headed up the designing and installation of beautiful plants and large rocks in the long area between Grace United Methodist and The First Baptist church of Pickens.
