Graduations set for this Saturday

COUNTY — More than 1,000 Pickens County students will receive their diplomas in graduation ceremonies scheduled for Saturday.

Each of the four county high schools will host its own ceremony in its football stadium. In case of rain, the events will be moved into the school’s gymnasium, with overflow seating available in the auditorium.

Although the events have most recently been held traditionally at Clemson University’s Littlejohn Coliseum, the facility will be undergoing renovations, giving school district officials cause to move the graduations back to the individual schools, where they were formerly held.

School-specific information such as parking arrangements and tickets, is posted on each school’s website.

Liberty and Easley’s graduations are planned for 9 a.m. Saturday, while Pickens and Daniel will host ceremonies at 10 a.m.
