PICKENS COUNTY — The community’s help is needed in finding a missing runaway from Easley.

Shawn Tyler Banks, 15, was last seen at his parents’ home on Saluda Dam Road at 6:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, according to a release from the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office.

Banks is described as 6 feet tall and 270 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes. He was wearing a light-colored shirt, blue jeans and white tennis shoes. He was carrying a backpack and had a PlayStation 2 gaming system with him, according to the release.

Investigators believe Banks left of his own volition and that no foul play was involved.

The Pickens County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information regarding Banks’ whereabouts to call the sheriff’s office at (864) 898-5500 or Crimestoppers at 1-888-CrimeSC.
