PICKENS — PS Chiropractic will host “Dinner with the Doc” on Tuesday, Jan. 20. The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the office at 430 Hampton Ave. in Pickens.

Dr. Ben Avritt will be holding a workshop on how chiropractic can help relieve ear infections without medication.

This time of year, sickness is everywhere, and we see a lot of small children dealing with chronic ear infections. Moms and dads have often been through several rounds of antibiotics, but the infection seems to always come back.

Chiropractic is often a last resort because so few people are educated on how it works. Avritt aims to change that so that chiropractic becomes a first response to the symptoms of an ear infection.

The event will feature testimonies from many parents who have experienced life-changing results in their children through chiropractic. Avritt is a licensed Chiropractor at PS Chiropractic Wellness Center in Pickens. He has been helping people in the surrounding community feel more healthy and pain-free since January 2007.

The event is free to the public. A home-cooked dinner will be provided, and children are welcome. If you’re already a patient, bring a friend or family member who isn’t a patient and receive a gift card. A sign-up sheet will be at PS Chiropractic, and you must be signed up to attend.
