After back-to-back 5-6 finishes, Green Wave aiming higher in 2018

EASLEY — The Easley Green Wave are hoping for a reversal of the 2017 season.

Last season, the Green Wave battled major injuries on an almost week-by-week basis and finished a second consecutive season with a 5-6 record.

The Green Wave did advance to the Class 5A playoffs, losing to Gaffney, a team that advanced to the state title game.

Easley had significant losses from the defensive line from last season and in the secondary. Add in do-it-all kicker Nathan Baker, a Limestone College signee, and there are opportunities for playing time on this year’s team.

Quarterback shouldn’t be a question for the Green Wave this
