aspects of Ruby’s life, whether it was all-day outings on the lake, driving the boat for Tom — aka Ski King — as he carved rooster tails across Lake Keowee with his slalom ski, reuniting with distant cousins at the Ross reunions, or loading up 25+ family members and heading to Cherry Grove and Fripp Island for the annual beach trip.
As an expression of her loving spirit, Ruby took advantage of any opportunity she had to cook for a crowd. She was well known for the delicious sourdough rolls she baked from her mama’s recipe and for many years kept a constant supply on the counter to
The human inclination to set boundaries
1 Kings 6:2 “And the house which king Solomon built for the Lord, the length thereof was threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof twenty cubits, and the height thereof thirty cubits.”

Regrets in retirement
I was eavesdropping on two senior ladies in a big box store, specifically in the furniture aisle. Being discussed was a very large TV cabinet with doors and shelving. While it was on sale, the price was apparently not enticing.
