Travis Pierce Craft Jr.

Easley — Travis Pierce Craft Jr., infant son of Kimberly Gillispie and Travis Pierce Craft Sr., died Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Travis was born in Greenville County.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by grandparents, Larry and Angie Gillespie, Thomas B. Craft, Sr., and Tina Gilbert.

Graveside services were 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6 at Greenlawn Memorial Park.

James Lee Crenshaw

Pickens — James Lee Crenshaw, age 85, husband of 64 years to the late Sylvia Byers Crenshaw, died Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012 in Pickens.
Mr. Crenshaw was born in Pickens; the son of the late James King Crenshaw and Elizabeth Gilstrap Crenshaw. Mr. Crenshaw was a member of Mt. Bethel Methodist Church, retired from the Singer Corporation and a proud veteran of the U.S. Army.

Survivors include three sons; Bruce Crenshaw (Charlene) of Liberty, Donald Crenshaw (Susan) and Lawrence Crenshaw (Ladell) both of Pickens, two daughters; Brenda Crowe (Glenn) of Pickens and Maydell Keasler (Billy) of Sunset, sisters; Lula Burgess of Pickens and Elizabeth Mote of Greenville, 10 Grandchildren and nine Great Grandchildren and one Great-Great Grandchild.

Mr. Crenshaw was predeceased by his loving wife, parents and three sisters; Ola Townes, Dora Hudson, Edith Nix, one Granddaughter; Gwen Crowe, one Great-Granddaughter; Lily Gwen Powell.

Funeral service was Thursday, Oct. 4 at 3 p.m. in chapel of Dillard Funeral Home. The burial followed at Mt. Bethel Methodist Church Cemetery.

Dillard Funeral Home is assisting the Crenshaw family.

Oron G. Trotter, Sr.

Pickens — Oron G. Trotter Sr., age 97, died on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012 in Seneca.

Born in Pickens on Dec. 3, 1914, he was the son of the late Furman G. Trotter and the late Jessie Freeman Trotter. A lifelong resident of Pickens, he grew up in the Glassy Mountain area and was retired from the Singer Co. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Pickens.
He is survived by two sons and daughters in law, Oron Trotter Jr. and Ruth Ellen of LaGrange, Ga., Richard Trotter and Mary of Franklin N.C., grandchildren Cass Adams, (Mark), Michael Trotter (Susan) Kim Shealy, (Boyd) and Russell Trotter. Additionally he is survived by eight great grandchildren, Mark, Anne and Catherine Adams, Ben and David Trotter and Will, Amy and Zach Shealy and two sisters in law, Vivian Trotter and Bobbie Trotter.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Edna Pace Trotter, brothers, Ralph, Griffin, and Curtis, and sisters, Effie Mae Trotter and Bernice Robertson.

Funeral Services were 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 6 in the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home. Burial followed in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Isabella MaCauley

Easley — Isabella MaCauley, 85 of Easley, died Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012 at her home.

Born in Neilston Scotland, she was a daughter of the late Mathew and Isabella Muir Porter. Mrs. MaCauley retired from Saco Lowell and was the member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church in Easley.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, William Porter.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3 at St. Andrews United Methodist Church.

Mary Ruth Roberts

Central — Mary Ruth Smith Roberts, 65, formerly of Central, died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012 at Redeemer Health and Rehab.
Born in Anderson, she was a daughter of the late Jesse James and Jessie Mae Pinion Smith.  Mrs. Roberts was a former employee with Holiday Inn in Clemson and a member of Outreach Mission in Pendleton.
Surviving are two daughters, Diane Lollis Robinson of Liberty, and Sandie Lollis Fincannon of Liberty; two brothers, Tommy Joe Smith of Liberty, and Samuel Paul Smith of Seneca; two sisters, Joann Merck of Six Mile and Bonnie Turner of Lula, Ga.; three grandchildren, Kayla Lollis, Jessie Smith and Lindsay Smith.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by two brothers, Bud Alton Smith and Jessie Joseph Smith and one sister, Jeanette Leslie, daughter, Vicky Lyn Shaver and grandson Christopher Shaver
Funeral services were Monday at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Duckett-Robnson Funeral Home. Burial followed in Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Louise Posey

Liberty — Ella Louise Posey, 87, of 305 Oak Lane, died on Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012 at Manna Health & Rehab in Pickens.

Born in Liberty she was a daughter of the late Walter and Lucy Smith Posey. She was a 1942 graduate of Liberty High School and was retired from Woodside Mills with 43 years of service. She was a longtime member of Golden Grove Wesleyan Church.

Surviving are a special niece who was raised in her home, Nancy Edwards and her husband the Rev. Lewis B. Edwards of Liberty; a sister, Lucille Hunter and her husband John of Liberty; a brother, Melvin Posey of Easley; a caregiver and family friend, Brenda Waters of Central; also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond Paul Posey and Walter Posey, Jr.

Funeral services to honor Louise’s life were 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Burial was at Liberty Memorial Gardens.
