A groundbreaking ceremony was held last week for the newly protected Grant Meadow overlook on S.C. Highway 11, which offers perhaps the most iconic view of Table Rock. County officials and others instrumental to the protection of the scenic view, including property owner Hoyt Grant and Upstate Forever officials, gathered at 9 a.m. Friday to break ground on the vista.
