Scout Food Drive
Scout Troop 51 and Cub Scout Pack 51 recently held the 6th Annual Pickens Community Food Drive which was a huge success. The scouts collected 1,100 items for the Gleaning House Food Pantry from numerous community organizations, churches and groups. Picture here are the Scouts and Cub Scouts who collected the items at the drop site on March 7. Following the collection, the Scouts volunteered to sort them at the Gleaning House. The winner of the “coveted” Golden Can Award was the newly formed Pickens Methodist Church which was presented with the award being at a recent Scout Meeting.
