Daniel girls stunned by Dreher in round three

CENTRAL — Falling behind 3-1 in the first half of their third round matchup with Dreher, the Daniel High School girls soccer team was in need of a big effort if it hoped to keep its season alive on Tuesday night.
The top-seeded Lady Lions were able to cut the lead to 3-2 midway through the second half, but just couldn’t muster enough chances down the stretch as they fell to the Blue Devils.
“We came out in the second half and the girls responded well.” Daniel head coach Chad Perry said. “They gave themselves a chance, and that’s all we really were asking for.”
