Residents want more info on proposed lake overlays

COUNTY — A public hearing for an ordinance establishing an overlay district for Lake Keowee and Lake Jocassee was on the agenda for Pickens County Council’s meeting on Monday night.
An overlay is intended to create “special areas where additional standards exists,” according to the county’s website. Within the overlay area, those standards may be more or less stringent on certain activities.
