On his 100th birthday last Thursday, Pickens Savings and Loan Director Emeritus Billy Singleton was presented with a resolution from the South Carolina House of Representatives by Rep. Davey Hiott, honoring Singleton’s decades of service to the institution.

Singleton joined the Board of Pickens Savings and Loan on May 20, 1963, and served until his resignation in 2021.

Singleton was elected Chairman of the Board of Directors in 2010 and remained in that role until his retirement. He continues to serve on the bank’s loan committee and holds the title of Director Emeritus.
