Well-known Pickens County businessman Cecil Durham, who passed away Aug. 24, was laid to rest in a unique way last week. Durham, whose family owns several businesses in the Pickens and Six Mile areas, was transported to his final resting place aboard the flat bed of a Durham’s Hardwood logging truck. The pallbearers rode from the chapel at Dillard Funeral Home to the gravesite at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens alongside Durham’s casket.
