LIBERTY — The Pickens County Sheriff’s Office and the Pickens County Coroner’s Office have launched a homicide investigation after a Piedmont man’s body was found in Liberty.

According to a release from PCSO Chief Deputy Chad Brooks, the man’s body was found Sunday night in the yard of a home on Stewart Gin Road.

Deputies responded to a disturbance call after callers reported hearing several gunshots at 346 Stewart
