Caribbean team takes Senior League World Series in Easley

EASLEY — The Senior League World Series has come and gone once again, with a new champion being crowned and the local S.C. District 1 team having another strong tournament run.

In a game televised live on ESPN2 Saturday night, the Caribbean squad finished an undefeated run through the tournament with a 7-2 win over the U.S. East team to take home the championship in the tournament’s second year at Easley’s J.B. “Red” Owens Complex.
