• Story Time Plus programs planned

Each month, Boxwood Manor, located in Pendleton, and Collins Ole Towne, located in Central, are sites for Story Time Plus programs and Homeschool Days. Story Time Plus runs 10-11:30 a.m. and is designed for ages 8 and under. Admission is $3 for each child age 5 or older, with a $10 household maximum.
Homeschool Day runs from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. and is designed for ages 6 through 14. Admission is $5 for ages 6 and over, with a $15 household maximum.

Collins Ole Towne (Central) — Nov. 28 (Native Americans), Dec. 22 or 23 (Westward Expansion).

• Legion Post 52 plans events for holidays

American Legion Post 52 will present the Wreaths Across America program at Robinson Memorial Garden at 10 a.m. Dec. 18. Anyone wishing to lay a wreath at the ceremony or just support the program is asked to send a check of $15 for each wreath to American Legion Post 52, 118A Legion St., Easley, SC 29642.
American Legion Post 52 sells American flags and South Carolina flags, all made in the USA. Everyone is invited.

• Hee Haw Christmas set for Hagood Center

The Hagood Community Center, located at 129 Schoolhouse St. in Pickens, will present Hee Haw Christmas in the Hagood Community Center Auditorium on Dec. 4.
There will be two performances — one at 2 p.m. and another at 6 p.m. The local cast will present good old country music and comedy. Tickets are $5, in advance only, from Nov. 17-Dec. 1 at the Senior Center on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10-11 a.m. or call (864) 878-9999 from 2-6 p.m. on Monday through Friday.
A BBQ dinner will be served in the lunchroom from 3:30-5:30 p.m. Food tickets will be sold for $6, sold only in advance. No takeouts. All proceeds will benefit the center.

• Pumpkintown to host tree lighting

Pumpkintown will soon be getting into the Christmas spirit with the community’s first-ever Christmas tree lighting event. Everyone is invited to come and enjoy the music of Josh Johnson with a cup of hot chocolate and some Christmas cookies.
The event will start at 5 p.m. at the intersection of S.C. Highway 8 and S.C. Highway 135 on Dec. 3. There will be lots of Christmas caroling and a bonfire.
