  • Fishing equipment available at library

Want to go fishing this summer, but have no equipment? Visit the Village Library in Pickens. The branch now has added fishing rods and tackle boxes to its Library of Things through the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources Fishing Tackle Loaner Program. These items are only available at the Pickens branch of the library system and will need to be returned there as well. They can be checked out for seven days — all you need is your Pickens County Library card. Call (864) 898-5747 for more information or stop by the Village Library to check them out. Borrow the equipment, keep the memories.

The Village Branch Library is located at 124 N. Catherine St. in Pickens.
