• Hee Haw coming to Hagood Center

The Hagood Community Center is planning to present an all-new presentation of a comedy/musical favorite, “Hee Haw.”
There will be a an all-new cast, some new songs and plenty of new jokes that will send the audience home with a smile on their face. Showings are set for 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. Aug. 26.
There should be a full house for both presentations, so those interested are encouraged to get their tickets early at the center from 8:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Tickets are $7 each and are limited to auditorium capacity. All proceeds will benefit the Hagood Community Center. The Center is located at 129 Schoolhouse St in Pickens.

• Upcountry Quilters meet 4th Tuesdays

Upcountry Quilters Guild has set meeting times on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. at Pickens Presbyterian Church, 311 W. Main St., Pickens, SC 29671. All visitors are welcome.

• Hagood-Mauldin House offers tours

The historic Hagood-Mauldin House, located at 104 N Lewis St. at Legacy Square in Pickens, is now offering free tours to the public. The house is open for the free tours on the third Saturday of each month from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. now through October.

• Veterans invited to American Legion

Veterans in the Liberty area are invited to the next meeting of American Legion Post 67 in Liberty.
The Legion meets on the third Monday of the month at 7 p.m. at the Scout Hut off North Palmetto Street. All vets are invited.
