• PHS Craft Fair needs vendors

A craft fair will be held at Pickens High School on Nov. 1 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Cost for a 10×10 vendor booth will be $10. Email tammyferguson@pickens.k12.sc.us for an application. Money and applications are due by Oct. 20.

• Pickens-Liberty Lions plan meetings

The Pickens-Liberty Lions Club is in need of new members. The club meets the first and third Thursday of every month at Pizza Inn in Pickens. Dinner begins at 6:40 p.m., and the meeting starts at 7 p.m. Meetings are open to anyone interested in joining the club or simply finding out more about the club and how it serves Pickens.

• Durham family reunion planned

A reunion is planned for the family of the late William Thomas Durham and Sally Standridge Durham. All friends and family are invited to attend Sunday, Oct. 12, 12:30 p.m. until at the Mile Creek Baptist Fellowship Building. All visitors are asked to bring their favorite dish.

• Homecoming set at Carmel Presbyterian

Carmel Presbyterian Church of Liberty will celebrate 227 years of history at its annual homecoming on Oct. 12. Morning worship at 11 a.m. will be followed by a brief meeting of the Carmel Memorial Society which provides for the cemetery upkeep. A covered dish lunch will follow the meeting. Dr. John LeHeup will be the speaker. The church is located four miles south of Easley off S.C. Highway 135. For more information, call 843-3199.

• Sertoma Club invites locals to meet

The Clemson Sertoma Club invites all interested local residents to attend its meetings. The club meets at noon the first and third Tuesdays of each month at Occasions at Wedgefield, located at 1551 Eighteen Mile Road in Central. New visitors are always welcome. Those interested are asked to call Randy Shaw at (864) 423-5469.

• Mt. Tabor to host yard sale/bake sale

Mt. Tabor WMU Yard/Bake Sale will be on Saturday, Oct. 11, from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the church, located at 4174 Dacusville Highway in Easley.

Tables will be available to rent for $10 each. Proceeds will be used to fund missions projects during the coming year.

• Silent auction set for Jones Hill

A silent auction will be held on Saturday, Oct. 18, at Jones Hill Church of God. The event will begin at 11 a.m. with tickets being pulled at 1 p.m.

The church will be offering hot dogs, a bake sale and ticket sales. Jones Hill Church of God ias located at 1014 Dalton Road in Marietta in the Dacusville community. For more information call 836-3020.

• Bethany Church of God homecoming set

Bethany Church of God invites everyone to come to its annual homecoming on Oct. 12.

The special speaker will be the Rev. Paul Stephens. Bethany Church of God is located on Hagood Mill Road in Pickens.
