• Sertoma Club invites locals to meet

 The Clemson Sertoma Club invites all interested local residents to attend its meetings. The club meets at noon the first and third Tuesdays of each month at Occasions at Wedgefield, located at 1551 Eighteen Mile Road in Central. New visitors are always welcome. • St. Andrew UMC set to kick off VBS

St. Andrew United Methodist Church, located at 309 Pelzer Highway in Easley, will host its Vacation Bible School kickoff Sunday, July 20, from 5-7:30 p.m. Items will be collected for United Christian Ministries, and the event will feature live music, a bounce house, games and hot dogs. • Soapstone to host fundraiser July 19

Soapstone Church is inviting everyone to a special fundraiser at the church, located at 296 Liberia Road in Pickens, this Saturday, July 19. The event will feature fine cooking and will be held from noon-8 p.m.

Visitors will enjoy true southern cooking including a fish fry, barbecue and fried chicken with all the fixings right from Mrs. Mabel’s kitchen.

• St. Andrew to host yard sale August 2

St. Andrew Catholic Church at 209 Sloan St. in Clemson is holding a huge yard sale on Aug. 2 from 8 a.m. until noon. For more information, call (864) 654-1757.

• CAAAM to plans fish fry fundraiser

 The Clemson Area African American Museum (CAAAM) will be hosting a fish fry fundraiser and thank you event for its volunteers on Saturday.

Fish plates will be available for $10, and a hot dog and drink will cost $3.50.

The museum will also host a concert featuring Tony Tidwell at 6 p.m. in the evening. Purchasing an annual membership to the CAAAM for $35 will get visitors a ticket to the concert.

The museum is located in the Calhoun Bridge Center at 214 Butler St. in Clemson.

• 4H20 camp set for July 28-30

 Pickens County is offering a four-day program for ages 9-14 at the Outdoor Lab in Pendleton on Lake Hartwell on July 28-30.

Children can attend just one day or all three days. Cost is $25 per day or $65 for all three. Join 4-H for $10.

• Trinity Wesleyan to host VBS July 27-31

 Trinity Wesleyan invites all to attend vacation Bible school from July 27-31. VBS will run from 5:30-8 p.m. on July 27 and 6-8 p.m. all other days.

The church’s VBS will have a fresh new feel as all are invited for five days of fun, craft, music and teaching. There will be something for everyone.

A nursery will be available. The church will kick things off Sunday night with a free hot dog dinner at 5:30 p.m. in the Family Life Center. Trinity Wesleyan Church is located at 700 Issaqueena Trail in Central.
