•Amazing Grace plans Homecoming

Amazing Grace Fellowship church will be hosting Homecoming on Sunday, Oct. 3.
The Edify gospel singers will be singing from 10:15 a.m. until the preaching hour begins with speaker the Rev. Doug Saylors.
Amazing Grace Fellowship is located at 229 Pearl St. in Pickens. All are invited.

• Scent of Praise to hold event in Easley

Scent of Praise, a Christian music ministry, will be live at Midtown Music in the Easley Fine Arts Center on South Pendleton Street in Easley on Oct. 16. The event is free for all.
Set to run from 4-8 p.m., the event will offer a time of fellowship, worship and word. Food will be served from 4-5 p.m.

• Community Fitness Walk set for Oct. 14

Everyone is invited to take a stroll at the Community Fitness Walk at the Doodle Trail Park Pavilion in Pickens on Thursday, Oct. 14, sponsored by Scout Troop 51 and Cub Scout Pack 51. The event will be for all ages. The YMCA fitness team will give a brief presentation about fitness, nutrition and warming up. The short presentation will start at 5:45 p.m., and then participants can take a walk down the Doodle Trail at their pace and distance. This is an event to promote a healthier community, and there is no charge. Light refreshments will be provided. If you can’t make it at 5:45, come by when you can. It won’t get dark until 7 p.m.

• Market at the Mill to host fall craft fair

The Market at the Mill is planning a fall craft fair this Saturday, Oct. 2, from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. The event will feature regular vendors, plus local artisans displaying their wares. There will be several food trucks, and Luke Deuce will be playing inside in the second warehouse at 11 a.m.

• Story Time Plus programs planned

Each month, Boxwood Manor, located in Pendleton, and Collins Ole Towne, located in Central, are sites for Story Time Plus programs and Homeschool Days.
Story Time Plus runs 10-11:30 a.m. and is designed for ages 8 and under. Admission is $3 for each child age 5 or older, with a $10 household maximum.
Homeschool Day runs from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. and is designed for ages 6 through 14. Admission is $5 for ages 6 and over, with a $15 household maximum.

Boxwood Manor (Ecology), Oct. 20 or 21 (Basic Survival Skills), Nov. 17 or 18 (The Human Body), Dec. 15 or 16 (Science and Technology)
Collins Ole Towne (Central) — Oct. 13 or 14 (Magnetism/Electricity), Nov. 28 only (Native Americans), Dec. 22 or 23 (Westward Expansion).
