JASON CASSELL
SIX MILE — Jason Cassell, born March 25, 1976, in Columbus, Ohio, went to his eternal home, Saturday, Oct. 18, 2025.
Jason loved Friday night wrestling and Michigan Wolverines football. Go Blue! Electrician by trade, proud owner of All Starr Electric.
Jason was the beloved son of Glen and Pamela Cassell, Big Brother to Eric (Jennifer) Cassell, Uncle Jason to his five nieces and nephews and best friend to Chris (Debbie) Slatzer.
Jason is survived by his wife of 18 years, Kristina Cassell. He was a father to his six children, Ashley (Kyle), Hillary, Sarah (Bryan) Emily, Taylor (Daylen) and Nicholas; and grandpa to Addilyn, Reign and a baby girl on the way.
Jason was the light in every room he entered. His passing has left a void in the hearts of his family and friends. In lieu of flowers, we are asking that you to donate to your local alcohol rehabilitation center.

JOHN TILSON HOSTETLER
EASLEY — John Tilson Hostetler, 86, loving husband of 66 years to Mary Frances Ballew Hostetler, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, Oct. 23, 2025, at Greenville Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on June 28, 1939, in Laurens County, Tilson was the beloved son of the late Edward Stewart and Winfred Aiken Hostetler Stewart. He was a devoted member of Amazing Grace Fellowship in Pickens and deeply enjoyed serving through mission work in Mexico. Tilson was a true family man who cherished time spent at family gatherings, where laughter and good memories were always shared.
A lifelong car enthusiast, he took great pride in restoring classic cars to both drive and show.
He also enjoyed camping and was an avid fan of NASCAR and boxing.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Frances Ballew Hostetler of the home; son, Johnny Hostetler (Lisa) of Easley; daughter, Tammy Handschumacher (Brian) of Greenville; grandchildren, Scott Hostetler, April Floyd (James), Caleb Handschumacher (Brooke), Levi Handschumacher and Olivia Olson (Logan); great-grandchildren, Landon, Sumer, Kaden, Rilan, Ethan, Madison, Aly and Isla; sister, Patricia Ann Benton; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Hostetler was predeceased by his brothers, Jerry Hostetler and Jerome Hostetler.
Funeral services were held on Oct. 25 in the chapel of Mountain View Funeral Home in Pickens. Burial took place following the service at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Flowers will be accepted, or memorial donations in Tilson’s honor may be made to Amazing Grace Fellowship, 229 Pearl St., Pickens, SC 29671.

HARRY KEITH LITTLE
LIBERTY — Harry Keith Little, 71, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2025, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on June 24, 1954, in Easley, Keith was the beloved son of the late James Harry Little and Willie Mae Murphy Little. Keith was a humble, hardworking man who deeply loved his family. In his younger years, he had a passion for horses and was an avid NASCAR fan. Throughout his life, he was known for his strong work ethic and dedication as the owner of L and L Auto Sales. Keith enjoyed spending time outdoors — whether on the water, hunting or fishing — and he could often be found relaxing with his favorite movies and TV shows.
Survivors include his son, James Kyle Little (Angelina) of Easley; daughter, Rylee Jewelz of Liberty; grandchildren, Lauren, Zoey, Abby, Felix, Jacob, Joshua, Zayden and London; siblings, Barbara Riso of Mississippi, Elaine Gilbert of Pendleton, Sue Turner (Sam) of Gilbert, Barry Little (Rhonda) of Easley, Sheila Sorgenfrei (Dean) of Sylacauga, Ala.; special longtime friend, Gamble Little; and his caregiver, Toby H.
Mr. Little was predeceased by his parents, James Harry Little and Willie Mae Murphy Little.
A gathering of friends was held on Oct. 26 in the chapel of Mountain View Funeral Home in Pickens.

MICHAEL KING
LIBERTY — It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael Leo King, a cherished son, father, brother and friend. He was born on July 7, 1975, in Greenville, and he passed away peacefully on Oct. 21, 2025, in Liberty. He was 50 years old.
He was a 1993 graduate of Liberty High School, and later he earned a B.S. degree in computer science from Clemson University.
Michael dedicated many years of his life to serving the community through his work at the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) of Anderson County, where he was respected for his commitment and diligence. He was a member of Ruhamah Baptist Church and was currently attending Liberty First Baptist Church, where his faith had become important to him.
Above all, Michael was a devoted single father to his two sons, Canaan and Hendrix King, who were his pride and joy. He leaves behind his loving parents, Randal and Judy King; sister, Melanie Samples (Chase); and his three nephews, Cade, Ezra and Avery Samples. He leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Edwin and Lorene King and Jack and Hilda Posey.
A special place in his heart was reserved for his three feline companions. He also was an avid reader and loved to play the guitar, which he taught himself during high school.
Funeral services to honor Michael’s life were conducted on Oct. 27 at Liberty First Baptist Church.
He will be laid to rest with his grandparents at Westview Cemetery in Liberty. No formal visitation will be held.
In this time of grief, let us honor Michael’s spirit and the love he shared with us all. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

THERESA MAUGERI BRAVO
EASLEY — Theresa Maugeri Bravo, of Easley, passed away peacefully on Friday, Oct. 24, 2025, at the remarkable age of 104.
Born on June 24, 1921, in Cittanova, Italy, Theresa was the daughter of the late Rosa and Thomas Maugeri. Growing up, she helped care for her seven brothers and one sister, a role that shaped her lifelong compassion and dedication to others.
Theresa was a devoted member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Pickens, where she faithfully volunteered wherever she was needed. She joyfully served through Meals on Wheels, the church food pantry and Hope Women’s Center, where she lovingly knitted and crocheted baby booties for new mothers.
A gifted artist, Theresa found joy in painting, drawing, knitting and crocheting, sharing her creativity freely with those around her. She was affectionately known as “everybody’s best friend” and lovingly called Noni not only by her family, but by all who were blessed to know her.
To many, she was the heart and “matriarch” of her community, a source of warmth and wisdom.
Theresa is survived by her children, Angela (Ken), Elaine, Judy (Paul) and Thomas (Claire); 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren, along with many beloved nieces, nephews and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her devoted husband of 65 years, Angelo H. Bravo; her seven brothers and sister; her sons-in-law, John and Irving; and her stepmother, Ana.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hope Women’s Center of Easley, in honor of Theresa’s generous spirit and lifelong dedication to helping others.
A funeral service for Ms. Bravo will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 558 Hampton Ave., Pickens, at 12:15 p.m. Oct. 30.

LAURA ANN BATHURST
EASLEY — Laura Ann Bathurst, 76, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, Oct. 25, 2025, at her home.
Born on Dec. 21, 1948, in Dayton, Ohio, Laura was the beloved daughter of the late Lynn LeRoy Bathurst and Ruth May Hanson Bathurst. She devoted her career to the field of nursing, caring for others with compassion and dedication. A talented poet, Laura found joy and expression through her writing. She was a faithful member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church in Easley and deeply cherished her church family. At home, she adored her cat, Boots, whose companionship brought her great comfort. Above all, Laura loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life.
Survivors include her daughter, Denise Merritt (Tony) of Piedmont; grandchildren, Jessica Merritt, T.J. Merritt (Katie) and Kathryn Evett (Daniel); great-grandchildren, Brantley, Audrey, Kinsleigh, Samuel and Spencer; and sister, Cynthia Bathurst.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bathurst was predeceased by her brother, David Bathurst.
The family will hold a memorial service to celebrate Laura’s life at 11 a.m. Oct. 31 in the sanctuary of St. Andrew Methodist Church, 309 Pelzer Highway, Easley. A visitation will be held an hour prior to the service at 10 a.m.

DONALD KENNETH ‘DONNIE’ PATTERSON JR.
LIBERTY — Donald Kenneth “Donnie” Patterson Jr., 62, loving husband of 22 years to E’Lisha Howard Patterson, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 26, 2025, at his home.
Donnie was born on July 16, 1963, to the late Donald Kenneth Patterson Sr. and Cecil Smith Patterson. He had a passion for NASCAR and enjoyed playing the guitar. Music and racing brought him great joy throughout his life.
Survivors include his wife, E’Lisha Patterson; a daughter, Blaklyn Norton (Toby); a son, Eric Patterson; grandson, Waylon Norton; brothers, Leland Patterson (Leea) and Micheal Patterson (Vickie); brothers-in-law, Bobby Howard Jr (Alyssa), A.J. Howard (Lisa) and Mitchell Howard (Katie); nieces and nephews, Bobby III, Emily, Bolton, Bodhi, Tyler, Bailey, Aubrey, Harvey, Everette, Kevin, Bobby, Matthew, Pamela, Crystal (Kenny), Khloe, Max, Jennifer, Jackson, Gabriella and Maria; and bonus family, Kellie Franklin and Andrea Toney.
In addition to his parents, Donnie was predeceased by a daughter, Amy Patterson; brothers, Phillip Patterson and Steve Patterson; and a nephew, Terry Patterson. The family will host a celebration of life at the Roanoke Center on Community Club Road in Liberty on Nov. 1, starting at 3:30 p.m.
