Bruce Farmer

Easley — Bruce Thompson Farmer, 77, of 114 Shallowford Road, died Tuesday, July 11, 2017.

Born in Greenville, he was the husband of Linda Donald Farmer and the son of the late Nathan Ovander and Frances Hanks Farmer. He was a retired electrician from Huntington and Guerry and was of the Methodist faith.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Sherri Owen (Tony) and Lavada Crolley, both of Easley; two sons, Billy Coates (Debbie) and Nathan D. Farmer (Michelle Williams), both of Easley; a sister, Nancy Steele of Williamston; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Mary Liverman; a brother, William Farmer; and a grandson, Craig Owen.

Funeral services to honor the life of Mr. Farmer were held July 13 at the Liberty Mortuary chapel. Entombment followed at Liberty Memorial Gardens.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the doctors and staff of Regency Hospital on the fourth floor of St. Francis Hospital Downtown.

Judy S. Reid

Six Mile — Judy Stone Reid, 65, of Gin Shoals Road, passed away Monday, July 10, 2017.

Born in Pickens County, she was a daughter of the late Leon and Inez Ellenburg Stone.

Judy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren. She loved to please everyone and was always there when you needed her. She enjoyed singing gospel music, playing the piano and going to yard sales with her sister. Judy was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband of the home, Ronald E. Reid; daughters, Keila Touzeau (Marty) and Ashley Reid (Alan Goss), all of Pickens; grandchildren, Kaitlin, Landen, Addie and Brayden; and a sister, Linda Stone.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Tonya Renee Reid; a son, Kevin Ronald Reid; and brothers, Lavern and Elton Stone.

Funeral services were held on Friday, July 14, in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial followed in Gap Hill Baptist Church cemetery in Six Mile.

Myra Galloway McDonald

Easley — Myra Galloway McDonald, 76, passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2017, at McCall Hospice House.

Born in Pickens County, Myra was the daughter of the late Winford Americus Galloway and the late Elizabeth Arretta Rutledge Galloway. She graduated from Easley High School in 1958 and retired as branch manager from Anderson Federal Credit Union after more than 30 years of employment. Myra was a member of Easley Presbyterian Church for more than 60 years, where she proudly sang in the choir.

Surviving are a daughter, Lisa Norris of Cleveland; a brother, W. Rutledge Galloway (Dianne) of Easley; a grandson, Kyle Hunsucker of Easley; and special friend, Harold L. Williams of Easley.

Funeral services were held July 15 at Easley Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Dr. William P. Seel officiating. Burial followed in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Charlotte Faye Wilson

Pickens — Charlotte Faye Hayes Wilson, 91, wife of the late Walton William Wilson, passed from this life Sunday, July 16, 2017.

Charlotte was born in Greer, a daughter of the late James Henry Hayes and Lillie Stansell. She was a librarian assistant at Clemson University and was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Charlotte Brenner and her husband Norman of Waleska, Ga.; a son, Bev Alan Wilson of Greenville; and a brother, Gerald Hayes of Lebanon, Tenn.

Graveside services were held July 18 at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Rick Hayes.

Lori R. West

Easley — Lori Roe West, 42, of Park West Circle, wife of Vaughn Harrison West, went home to see her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, July 15, 2017.

Born in Easley, she was the daughter of David Roe of Easley and the late Jan Rhodes McQueen of Liberty. Lori was a nursing student at Tri-County Technical College, obtaining her degree to help others through missions. She dearly loved her Lord, her family and her church family, New Image Church.

In addition to her husband of 21 years and her father, she is survived by her daughters, Kayla Sommer Johnson-Roe of Easley and Bayleigh Autumn Holder (Zachary) of the home; a granddaughter, Rylie Sky Geary; sisters, Janlyn Roe of Liberty and Chelsea Roe of Easley; and brothers, Kevin Roe of Easley and Justin Roe of Pickens.

A service to celebrate Lori’s life was held on Tuesday, July 18, at New Image Church in Easley. Burial followed in Robinson Memorial Gardens.

Johnny Duckworth

Greenwood — John Augustus “Johnny” “John Boy” Duckworth IV, 61, of 3401 Callison Highway, died Sunday, July 16, 2017, at Hospice House.

Born in Portsmouth, OH, he was a son of John Augustus Duckworth III and the late Mary Spearman Duckworth. Johnny was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War and attended Ninety Six Church of God.

Surviving are his father of Greenwood; his daughter, April Timmerman (Tee) of Ninety Six; a sister, Rhonda Carithers of Greenwood and grandchildren, Abby Timmerman, Gracie Timmerman and Drew Timmerman, all of Ninety Six.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Ann Gillian, and his brother, Charles Mark Duckworth.

A memorial service, with military honors, will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, July 25, at the Harley Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. Randy Ouzts and the Rev. Stanley Sprouse officiating.

Honorary escort will be Tee Timmerman, Vernon Murray, Arland Helmuth, Jeff Peppers and Bob Webb.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the service. The family is at his father’s home at 1117 Ninety Six Highway in Greenwood.

Martha Hudson Paredes

Easley — Martha Hudson Paredes, 62, passed away Sunday July 16, 2017, at her home.

Mrs. Paredes was born in Greenville County, daughter of the late Elva Ellenburg Hudson and Oscar Hudson.

Survivors include one daughter, Brittany Nicole Hudson; two granddaughters that she adored, Abbigail Nicole Gantt and Aleah Jessie Gantt; brother, Sam Hudson; sisters, Ruth Gilstrap (Calvin), Bea Shelton (Wayne Hooper), Doris Green (Danny) and Brenda Wardlaw (Larry); four nieces, five nephews, numerous great-nephews, many great-nieces, one great-great niece and many extended family and friends.

Mrs. Paredes was predeceased by her parents, Oscar and Elva Hudson; a brother, Alton Hudson; great-nephew, John Shelton; and great-niece, Brenna Wardlaw.

Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. Thursday, July 20, at Mountain View Funeral Home, at 105 Florence St. in Pickens.

Audrey Mae Nalley

Easley — Audrey Mae Nalley, 70, went to be with the Lord Tuesday July 11, 2017, at Greenville Memorial Hospital. Ms. Nalley was born in Greenville.

Survivors include one son, Kevin “Leigh” Dunn (Jeannie) of Pickens; one granddaughter, MaryBeth Dunn of Pickens; four sisters, Pat Reynolds (Earl) of Pickens, Gayle Griffin (Tom) of Troy, Texas, Debbie Garrett (Tony) of Pickens and Sheri Wingo (Hal) of Central; one brother, William “Bill” E Nalley (Sharon) of Easley; one special aunt, Thelma Ellenburg of Greenville; and many special nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, Charlene Lillian Queen Nalley, William Thomas Nalley, Carol Suzanne Nalley and a brother, Charles Thomas Nalley.

A memorial service was held on July 13. Private family burial will be held at a later date.

Roy Lee Bryant

Easley — Roy Lee Bryant, 62, went to be with the Lord Sunday July 16, 2017, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 22, at Mountain View Funeral Home Chapel, at 105 Florence St. in Pickens.

Mountain View Funeral Home is serving the Bryant family.

Peggy G. Renaud

Easley — Peggy Ann Golightly Renaud, 69, wife of the late Richard Michael Renaud Sr., passed away July 15, 2017, at St. Francis Hospital.

Born in Greenville County, a daughter of the late Clifford Vernon and Leila Turner Golightly, Mrs. Renaud was a graduate of Pickens High School and received her CNA degree from Tri-County Technical College. She was a member of Brushy Creek Baptist Church.

Surviving are two sons, Richard Michael Renaud Jr., and Justin Cory Golightly, both of Easley; a daughter, Sonya Renaud Brown (Tony) of Greer; five grandchildren, Catlin Brewer and Kevin, Destiny, Brady and Robert Brown; seven great-grandchildren, Catlin Levi Brewer and Jill, Rocky, Gage, Johnny, Pressley and Marley Brown; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Renaud was predeceased by two brothers, Charles and Jerry Golightly; and a sister, Mary Youngblood.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 21, in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial will follow in Westview Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from noon until 1:45 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home, prior to the service.

Family members are at their respective homes.
