COUNTY — The School District of Pickens County honored its 2022-23 Teacher of the Year and Support Employee of the Year at a banquet on Monday night.

At the banquet, which celebrated the support employees and teachers of the year for each of the district’s schools and other departments, McKissick Academy of Science and Technology (MAST) second-grade teacher McKenzie Martin was named the district Teacher of the Year, while West End Elementary School secretary and bookkeeper Jackie Burrell won honors as the district’s Support Employee of the Year.
