Early run pushes Greenville past Green Wave boys

EASLEY — Hosting top-ranked Greenville on Friday night, the Easley High School boys’ basketball team knew it would need a near-perfect effort to take down the Red
Raiders and pick up their first region win.
Instead, the Green Wave (5-11, 0-4 Region 1-5A) dug themselves a deep hole at the very start, letting Greenville (11-4, 4-0) score 16 straight to open the game and build a lead that they were never able to overcome in an 88-65 loss.
“You can’t do that against any team,” Easley head coach Austin Anderson said
