EASLEY — After letting an early lead slip away, the Easley girls’ basketball team went into the locker room against the fifth-ranked Pickens Blue Flame in danger of dropping its fourth straight game.

Instead, the Green Wave  (9-15, 3-5 Region 1-4A) shutdown Pickens (18-3, 6-2) in the third quarter and held on from there in their best performance of the year as they pulled out the 38-28
