PICKENS — A shelter established to give those facing emergencies a place to stay is in danger of closing.

Pickens County Shelter of Hope is a passion project for Tracy and Sunshine Gantt, who added it to their ministry and worked for years to establish the shelter before it opened in April 2020. The shelter serves the homeless and struggling families.
