Issaqueena Fest is this Saturday
SIX MILE — The 2012 Issaqueena Festival will be held on Saturday, May 19, from 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m. in downtown Six Mile.
Main Street will be closed from Liberty Highway to Six Mile Baptist Church during the festival. There will be free entertainment provided, including The Hotfoot Cloggers — children and adults who will be performing during several entertainment breaks.
There will be plenty of room to sit down and enjoy the entertainment under tents along Main Street.
Activities for children include four different inflatables (Moon Walk, Slide, Bungee Run, and Obstacle Course) all at no charge. Vendor items for sale include handmade wooden items such as bowls, pens, walking sticks, turkey calls, handmade pottery, handmade jewelry, polymer clay items, handmade soap, and children’s apparel and accessories. The festival committee is still accepting applications from vendors.
Festival T-shirts will be available for $10 each.
The festival will feature a car show at Six Mile Baptist Church starting at 10 a.m. To help a local food bank, please bring canned goods in lieu of a car show fee.
