LIBERTY — After a season riddled with delays and makeup games due to COVID-19, the Liberty Red Devils came to the end of the line Friday night against the Landrum Cardinals in a 42-14 loss.

Landrum received the opening kickoff, but was quickly forced into a three-and-out due to a tackle for loss by Trinity Oglesby before punting the ball away.

Taking over at their own 20, the Red Devils came out with E.J. Stafford behind center. The Red Devils did little to move the ball and were forced into a punt, too.

Stafford punted the ball 22 yards to the Liberty 49, where it was caught by Landrum receiver Bobby Dodd. Dodd then took the punt all the way back to the end zone
