Lenten noon services set for Pickens

PICKENS — Community-wide Lenten services will be held on Tuesdays during Lent at Pickens churches, rotating as listed below. The ecumenical series is sponsored by the Pickens Ministerial Association and is open to the entire community. The brief services start at noon and are followed by a light lunch.

March 10 at Grace United Methodist Church, with Rev. Kathy Harris from Faith Lutheran Chapel preaching.

March 17 at Faith Lutheran Chapel, with Rev. Nath Briley from Pickens Presbyterian Church preaching.

March 24 at Pickens Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Jake Lee from Pickens View Wesleyan Church preaching.

The last service will be at Seventh Day Adventist Church on Good Friday, April 3, at noon, with no lunch served, but leaving that service in silence. All pastors will be involved in the service.
