Lions sponsor contest

Each year, Lions clubs around the world proudly sponsor the Lions International Peace Poster Contest in local schools and youth groups. This art contest for kids encourages young people worldwide to express their visions of peace. For more than 25 years, millions of children from nearly 100 countries have participated in the contest.  The theme of the 2014-15 Peace Poster Contest was "Peace, Love and Understanding." Students ages 11, 12 and 13 were eligible to participate, and over 100 Liberty Middle School art students participated in this contest under the direction of Art Teacher Elaine Snell. This year’s Liberty Middle School Peace Poster Contest winners are 7th grader Jay Bost (3rd Place), 8th grader Brittany Price (2nd Place), and 8th grader Audrey King (1st Place).
