COUNTY — Pickens County voters returned to the polls on Tuesday for the midterm primary election to decide which candidates will be on the ballots for the Nov. 8 general election.

Voter turnout was way down in Pickens County, with 15 percent of registered voters casting ballots on Tuesday, compared to 28 percent during the 2020 primary and 21 percent in the 2018 primary.
